Investing in our communities together
Donors, fundholders and community leaders came together on October 23 to celebrate their philanthropic investments in the Tampa Bay region through the Community Foundation of Tampa Bay.
The Investment Briefing for Fundholders was held at the James Museum of Western & Wildlife Art in St. Petersburg. It was an opportunity to hear about how their philanthropic investments have grown and how they impact the community through grants and leadership. The generosity and vision of our donors and fundholders led to a record year in FY2019. Highlights:
- $36.2 million contributed to philanthropic funds and endowments
- $20.2 million granted for immediate impact in our region
- $278 million in assets invested for future giving
The gathering also included a tour of the beautiful new James Museum. And those who attended had a chance to talk with each other and with the Community Foundation staff about ideas for how we all work together to make this a stronger, more vibrant community.
Thanks to AGW Capital Advisors, which manages the Community Foundation’s investment pool, for sponsoring the event.
Here are a few photos of the event. Thank you to all our contributors. Together we are doing good for great causes.
