PINELLAS, FL – The Community Foundation of Tampa Bay this week earned distinction for its workplace policies by Family Friendly Pinellas, a local initiative developed to recognize companies that have adopted policies that give Pinellas County businesses and organizations an advantage in recruiting and retaining the best employees.
The Family Friendly Pinellas initiative offers resources to organizations on how to implement more family friendly policies and recognizes organizations that offer their employees family friendly benefits.
“As we look towards the future of Pinellas County, we have the opportunity to be a national leader in offering Family Friendly Workplaces that assist companies in attracting and retaining the best talent,” said Dr. Keesha Benson, Director of Thrive by Five Pinellas. “Implementing family-friendly policies serves as a universal benefit for all employees and it is the first step in ensuring a healthy, whole, and productive workforce. Studies have shown that costs associated with creating family friendly benefits are more than made up for in improved productivity, employee morale and employee retention. We are happy to recognize the Community Foundation of Tampa Bay as a leader in implementing family friendly policies.”
Any Pinellas County organization or business is eligible to apply for the Pinellas Family Friendly Business Award™. For a full list of family friendly policies and to learn more about the initiative and see if your company qualifies, please visit FamilyFriendlyPinellas.org
