The Trustee Network is designed for board members of nonprofits who want to make a difference in the productivity, engagement and satisfaction of their boards and ultimately the effectiveness of their nonprofit organizations. Using a peer group model with a professional facilitator, Trustees will have an opportunity to engage in candid discussions about nonprofit challenges, best practices, relevant and emerging trends, and personal leadership traits and practices. The Trustee Network includes:

  • Four half-day meetings with 20 peers
  • Interaction with a talented network of peers
  • One individualized coaching/consultation session

Benefits to the participants include:

  • Opportunity to develop expanded skills and tools for strategic leadership, that can be used both as a board member and in other pursuits
  • Practical knowledge that can immediately be applied to real time challenges
  • Access to best practices and fresh approaches to recruiting, engaging and retaining top notch board members
  • An expanded network of peers that can be called on between meetings and at the conclusion of the program

The Community Foundation of Tampa Bay and its donors make the program possible through their generous support. Participants are expected to make these commitments:

  • Be open to change and commit to try new approaches to challenges
  • Attend the half-day meetings
  • Agree to maintain confidentiality of meeting discussions
  • Financial investment of $200

The Trustee Network will meet from 9:30 am to noon on March 19, April 9, April 30 and May 21 at The Community Foundation of Tampa Bay, 4300 W. Cypress Street, Suite 700
Tampa, FL 33607
