TAMPA, Fla. (July 7, 2021) – The Community Foundation of Tampa Bay is pleased to announce that Dominique Gardner, M.Ed. has joined the LEAP Tampa Bay College Access Network as the Program Coordinator. The Community Foundation of Tampa Bay serves as the backbone organization for LEAP Tampa Bay and is one of 17 founding partners.

Dominique was previously the Interim Director of Inclusion and Multicultural Engagement (IME) at Lewis & Clark College in Portland where she oversaw retention programs that serve underrepresented student populations including LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, first-generation college students, and students from low socioeconomic status households.

“We’re thrilled to have Dominique onboard. Her background in the areas of inclusion and multicultural student engagement is a perfect fit for the work which is growing from our LEAP network partnerships. Her experience, perspective and great personal skills will blend beautifully with the skilled, committed people we have on all our Work Groups,” said Chuck Tiernan, Senior Director of Community Impact and Director of LEAP Tampa Bay College Access Network.
