Chuck Tiernan elected to the Tampa Bay Healthcare Collaborative Board of Directors

Tampa, FL – The Community Foundation of Tampa Bay is pleased to announce that Chuck Tiernan, Senior Director of Community Impact and the LEAP Tampa Bay College Access Network, has been elected to the Tampa Bay Healthcare Collaborative Board of Directors for a two-year term.

The Tampa Bay Healthcare Collaborative is a membership-based, non-profit organization with a dynamic group of leaders throughout the region dedicated to supporting a goal of promoting and advancing the health and wellness of those underserved through community collaborations.  The collaborative is made up of health and human service organizations, businesses, healthcare providers and individuals concerned and impacted by the gaps and limitations of the current system. Collectively, member organizations provide services to meet the needs of all demographic groups and address the healthcare continuum.

Chuck brings nearly 30 years’ experience in non-profit, healthcare and education organizations to his work as Director of LEAP, a collaborative effort of more than 50 community partners which uses a collective impact framework to help more students complete education or training beyond high school. Education is widely accepted as one of the social determinants of health.  Chuck is also a graduate of the Leadership Tampa Class of 2018.
