Established in 2017This scholarship helps low-income students enrolled in the FUSE program. FUSE is a seamless transfer program between the University of South Florida and eight Florida state colleges, including Hillsborough Community College and St. Petersburg College.
Each student will receive up to $5,500 to support degree completion.
The scholarships were started in November 2017 by generous funding partners USAB Foundation and Helios Education Foundation. USAB Foundation made the initial $500,000 gift which Helios matched with a $1 million gift. Helios will add another $1 million to match future gifts during the first 2+ years of the scholarship.
