Premier 1000 of Pasco County recently donated a $15,000 grant to the Good Samaritan Health Clinic of Pasco, Inc. They chose to provide the grant this year to the Good Samaritan Health Clinic from the Nonprofit Needs List at the Community Foundation of Tampa Bay.
Nonprofits who have been affected by COVID 19 were invited to apply for grants to help support their mission. These funds will be used to provide labs/diagnostic tests and medications. Like many nonprofits, the Clinic was unable to hold fundraising events this year due to COVID 19 and lost out on thousands of dollars in community donations. The CFTB is providing the Clinic with an additional $5,000 to match the donation from the Premier 1000.
Good Samaritan Health Clinic of Pasco, Inc. is a volunteer driven, non-profit organization committed to providing top quality medical and dental services free-of-charge to eligible residents of Pasco County. We believe that every person has the right to treatment, regardless of age, sex, race, religion, or his/her ability to pay.
The Premier 1000 of Pasco County is a group of individuals who join together to support nonprofits in Pasco County through collective philanthropy. Members each donate $1000 annually to a donor advised fund with the Community Foundation of Tampa Bay to provide a grant to a selected nonprofit. Together they make a bigger impact on the community by pooling their charitable donations and focusing their efforts on smaller nonprofits that rely heavily on volunteers. Since 2009 the Premier 1000 has donated more than $150,000 to benefit Pasco County nonprofits. New members are welcome!
